PRESIDENT, LEGENDS INTERNATIONAL
Andrew Hampel, President of Legends International, oversees the global expansion of sports and other properties. Prior to setting up ISG in 2006, Andrew worked at IMG for over 18 years fulfilling many roles across different divisions of IMG including running the global Stadium and Arena, Motor Sport, and European Golf divisions.
In 1998, he took responsibility for all IMG’s sports-related activity (excluding television production and distribution) in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Notable achievements at IMG included responsibility for leading the global expansion of the Stadium and Arena Division. He was responsible for the Wembley transaction for IMG, as well as developing and concluding the arrangements with HSBC for HSBC to become a leading sponsor of golf globally, and was a member of the management team which lead the sale of IMG in 2004.
Under Andrew’s leadership, ISG has grown to become the leader in Europe in providing research, business planning and strategy advice to stadium owners, and has been responsible for executing successful premium hospitality sales programs for Galatasaray in Istanbul and Friends Arena in Stockholm. He leads the relationships with prestigious clients such as the All England Club in Wimbledon, the RFU at Twickenham and FC Barcelona.
Andrew was educated at Downing College Cambridge where he gained a BA and Masters in Law and won a rugby ‘Blue’. He qualified as a lawyer at London firm Freshfields before joining IMG.
