President, Legends International Andrew Hampel

Andrew Hampel, President of Legends International, oversees all business activity outside the USA and is leading Legends’ rapid expansion in the international sports, entertainment and attractions markets.

Since the inception of Legends International in 2016, Andrew has built a UK-based team of experts in each area of Legends business, dedicated to the international markets.  That team has quickly established itself as the market leader and built relationships with many of the leading brands and franchises in international sport and entertainment. This team mirrors the successful 360-degree service solution offered by Legends in the USA.  Andrew leads relationships with prestigious clients such as the All England Club at Wimbledon, the RFU at Twickenham, Real Madrid, The View from The Shard, Inter Milan, AC Milan, FC Barcelona, Bath Rugby, Stade de France and Manchester United.

Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in the sports industry, including 19 years at IMG. In 1998, he took responsibility for all IMG’s sports-related activity in Europe, Africa and the Middle East and joined the global board of the company. Notable achievements at IMG include leading the global expansion of the Stadium and Arena Division (including leading the Wembley transaction for IMG), as well as developing and concluding the arrangements with HSBC to become a leading sponsor of golf globally. Andrew was a member of the management team which lead the sale of IMG in 2004.

After leaving IMG, Andrew founded International Stadia Group (ISG) in 2006. Under his leadership, ISG grew to become Europe’s leading stadium consultancy in providing research, business planning and strategy advice to stadium owners, as well as leading successful premium hospitality sales programmes for major new stadia. Ten years later Legends acquired ISG, creating Legends International.

Andrew was educated at Downing College, Cambridge where he graduated with a BA and Masters in law and won a rugby ‘Blue’. He then qualified as a lawyer with London firm Freshfields before pursuing his career with IMG.
