Caesars Superdome Case Study

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

2020 marked the start of a $450 million renovation project that will continue to build on the Caesars Superdome’s history and lay the foundation for the future. The focus of this renovation will be on improving the guest experience with modernized amenities while maintaining the building’s architectural characteristics. Upgrades will include expanded concourses, new entry gates, escalators, enhanced food and beverage services, and more efficient stadium technology.

In addition to the NFL season, the stadium will be open and ready to host previously contracted events during the off-season, such as the annual Essence Festival of Culture and the 2022 NCAA Men’s Final Four. Less disruptive work will continue each year during the football season with all games and other significant events proceeding as scheduled.

RESULT

COVID-19 struck just months after Legends Project Development (LPD) became engaged on the project. LPD worked with all stakeholders to protect the vision and passion of New Orleans, the State of Louisiana, and the New Orleans Saints. Legends worked closely with the Louisiana Stadium and Exposition District (LSED) and ASM Global to strategically restructure project phasing limiting the risk of the pandemic’s economic impacts while executing targeted projects.
