The Ohio State has a passionate alumni base; however, the Alumni Association noticed a shrinking level of donor participation despite this pride and passion. The Ohio State University Alumni Association asked Legends to become a strategic partner in rethinking engagement and annual giving through their current outbound student operated call center to develop a long-term, ongoing relationship with donors that would yield results in both the short and long-term.


Legends determined the best approach would be to revision the space and create The Ohio State University Engagement Center. This Center would be staffed by professionals and students, and feature high end, customized content delivery that engaged the alumni base in a meaningful way, outside of the typical transactional interactions that alumni have come to know. The approach would span across all of advancement to not only support donor engagement and giving but would also include an enhanced focus on data enrichment, major giving pipeline, stewardship and customized content delivery.
